Driving
Directions.
From the George Washington Parkway
and Route 495: Take the George Washington Parkway toward
Washington. Take the second 395 north exit (the one just
after 395 south). Take 395 north over the 14th Street Bridge and
get off at the 12th Street exit (on the right, after
the sign for “MCI Center”). Bear left on the ramp onto
12th street, and continue under the Mall and past
Pennsylvania Avenue. Turn right on H Street, then left on
8th Street and right on I Street. The synagogue is two blocks
down on the right side, at the corner of Sixth & I (but you knew
that already!).
From Maryland and points north:
Take I-95 or the Baltimore Washington Parkway
(Maryland Highway 295) south. If you take I-95 south, get onto
the Capital Beltway going south and take exit 22B to get onto
Maryland highway 295 south. Merge onto US-50, also known as New
York Avenue. This will take you into Washington, DC. Stay on
this road and turn left on I Street. The Synagogue is three blocks south on your right.

Historic Synagogue from Google Maps.
Note: Street parking is available in the neighborhood but
sometimes hard to find. Indoor parking is available in a garage
close to the corner of Seventh and I Streets, N.W.
Coming
By Metro. If you're coming by Metro, we're one block
north and one block east of the Chinatown exit at
the Gallery Place Metro stop, where the red, green and yellow
lines intersect. You can find a Metro map
here, and get help planning the trip
here.
