As a non-denominational synagogue, Sixth & I does not have a rabbi on staff. Instead, we have a dynamic group of rabbis - representing all Jewish denominations - who lead Shabbat services on a rotating schedule. For High Holidays, Sixth & I offers four different services: an explanatory service for young professionals; a participatory traditional service; a service for families with young children; and a multi-cultural service incorporating traditions and music from Jewish communities around the world. Sixth & I recognizes that being Jewish looks and feels different for many Jews, and we honor this diversity by casting a wide net in our unique Jewish programming and religious services.

MesorahDC helps people in their 20s and 30s experience a beautiful and tasty Shabbat. To usher in the Shabbat, we begin with a traditional, easy-to-follow service, based around the stirring melodies of the late Jewish composer, Shlomo Carlebach. Explanations and a running commentary accompany the service, so that even people less familiar with it feel more connected. The service is followed by a full-scale, gourmet Shabbat meal.

Elliot Brandt is the American Israel Public Affairs Committee's Western States Director and will be speaking during dinner about Israel and the United States.

*Please note that this service has separate seating.

Admission: The cost for the full dinner (8:00 pm) is $15 per person. If you bring a friend, it's half price for each person. For more information, or to sign up, please contact Rabbi Teitelbaum at 301.807.2434 or rabbizt@gmail.com or visit www.mesorahdc.org.
