She’s back! On the heels of packed-house Washington Performing Arts performances in the past two seasons, Cécile McLorin Salvant returns for two shows. Singing in English, French, and Spanish, Salvant enchants her audiences with fresh and dramatic interpretations of standards and lesser-known gems from the early days of jazz and blues. As the New York Times described her captivating presence in concert: “She sings clearly, with her full pitch range, from a pronounced low end to full and distinct high notes….
