Festival of the Daughters
For women in their 20s and 30s
- This event has passed.
Join us for a special evening of light, learning and blessings. Rabbi Sarah Tasman will teach about the Book of Judith, the lesser known heroine of Chanukah who saves the Jews by slaying the Assyrian general Holofernes.
With wine, cheese and candle lighting, we’ll take part in a North African tradition called Chag HaBanot (festival of the daughters) that commemorates Judith’s triumph and celebrates Jewish women in history, in our families and in our lives.
Please bring a menorah if you have one.
For women in their 20s and 30s. And for the record, we love all bubbes everywhere.
