DESCRIPTION:6:30 pm – Pre-service socializing\, drinks\, and appetizers\n 7:15 pm – Shabbat service\, followed by drinks and dinner \n Musical and interactive service including hors d’ouvres\, cocktails\, and social hour before the 7:15 pm service and dinner afterwards.  \n There will be a special performance by Makela\, DC’s co-ed Jewish a cappella group. \n Jessica Shimberg is a fifth year rabbinical student at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College in Philadelphia. Originally from Chicago\, Jessica has lead services for communities throughout the country\, and has taught Torah to toddlers and teens\, seniors in college and senior citizens. She is in Washington working at Hillel’s Schusterman International Center for the summer.
