SUMMARY:Choosing Joy: A Simchat Torah Celebration
DESCRIPTION:Pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Limited tickets at the door will be available for $26.  \n6:30pm – Happy Hour\n7:30pm – Service   \nOn the Shabbat just before Simchat Torah\, Jews across the world read from the book of Kohelet/Ecclesiastes (3:4)\, including the line: Eit Lispoad\, V’eit Lirkod\, which translates to\, “There is a time for grieving\, and there is a time for dancing.” \nLast year\, we grieved. This year\, we’ll dance again. \nAs we conclude our yearly cycle of reading the Torah and immediately begin that cycle once again\, enjoy themed cocktails and lively circle dancing led by Sixth & I musicians Aaron Shneyer\, Sarah Fredrick\, and more. We’ll also be celebrating Rabbi Nora’s return to Sixth & I\, as she co-leads with Rabbi Aaron an evening of resetting and renewing. \nIf you’re new in town\, new to Sixth & I\, or are coming solo\, stop by our happy hour to meet new people. \nTickets include admission\, two drink tickets\, and snacks. The event will run from 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm. \nMust be 21 or over to attend. No one will be turned away from any of our programs due to lack of funds.
