DESCRIPTION:This virtual class meets Wednesdays\, November 10 and 17 at 7:00 pm. Attendees will receive the Zoom link 48 hours\, 2 hours\, and 10 minutes before the class begins. \nCurious about the concept of conversion? Whether you’re considering conversion yourself\, are a born Jew who always wanted to know more about what it takes to convert\, or if you’re just curious about the dunks you’ve seen depicted in TV shows\, this two-part class is for you. With Rabbi Nora\, dive into Jewish sources on conversions\, examine depictions of conversions and Jews-by-choice in pop culture\, and discuss how and why individuals have converted to Judaism—and how they’ve been received by Jews—across time. \nPlease note this class is not a prerequisite for conversion.
