SUMMARY:Festival of the Daughters
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special evening of light\, learning and blessings. Rabbi Sarah Tasman will teach about the Book of Judith\, the lesser known heroine of Chanukah who saves the Jews by slaying the Assyrian general Holofernes. \nWith wine\, cheese and candle lighting\, we’ll take part in a North African tradition called Chag HaBanot (festival of the daughters) that commemorates Judith’s triumph and celebrates Jewish women in history\, in our families and in our lives. \nPlease bring a menorah if you have one. \nFor women in their 20s and 30s. And for the record\, we love all bubbes everywhere. \nMade possible by the generosity of The Lerner Family Foundation\nLerner Cohen Tanenbaum families \nMenorah image via shutterstock.com
