DESCRIPTION:In partnership with DC Jews on Bikes.\n\nIt’s no secret that DC is growing at a rapid pace. But is the city changing for the better? How do new restaurants\, bars\, and apartment complexes change the nature of a community? And more importantly\, what can we do to make sure that new growth benefits all residents equally? \nLearn about the history of the Shaw neighborhood and the H Street and U Street corridors on a bike ride that explores multiple perspectives on the city’s development\, followed by a conversation with Derek Hyra\, author of Race\, Class\, and Politics in the Cappuccino City at the 5th & K Street location of local restaurant Busboys and Poets. Brunch will be provided.  \nDon’t have a bike?
