DESCRIPTION:Sales for this series have ended. To sign up for the next cohort\, add your name to our inquiry list. \nThis class meets Mondays\, September 16 – December 9 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. There will not be class on November 25. Class will meet in-person on September 16 and December 9\, and the rest of the class will be virtual. \nDemystify the Hebrew alphabet as you learn the letters and vowels and how to combine them to crack the code of reading Hebrew. This course\, taught by certified language instructor Keren Yairi\, is for those with little to no prior Hebrew reading ability and emphasizes reading from the prayer book and words from Jewish cultural life. Come prepared to attend class regularly and to spend 20 minutes daily on home practice. \nAbout the Instructor\nKeren Yairi is a certified language instructor who has taught Hebrew as well as English literacy and English as Second/Other Language. She has also served as a consultant on education\, language\, and literacy projects. \nNo one will be turned away from any of our classes due to lack of funds.
