DESCRIPTION:This moving service commemorates the spirit and work of Dr. Martin Luther King\, Jr. and Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel. Second Gentleman Douglas Emhoff will deliver remarks highlighting the importance of interfaith collaboration. \nThe service\, led by Sixth & I’s Senior Rabbi Aaron Potek\, will feature music from Covenant Baptist UCC’s choir and words of inspiration from Kohenet Dr. Harriette E. Wimms\, Founder and Executive Director of the Jews of Color Mishpacha Project\, Aaron Jenkins\, an alumnus of Operation Understanding DC\, Sixth & I Board Member Rev. Thomas Bowen\, and Rev. William Young IV of Covenant Baptist UCC. \nThis event has been generously underwritten by The Revada Foundation of the Logan Family.
