DESCRIPTION:Sixth & I is honored to be officially included in Inauguration Weekend. Following their re-election\, President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden will recommit to serving the people of the United States at the 57th Presidential Inauguration on Monday\, January 21.  \n This year’s activities will kick off on Saturday\, January 19 with the National Day of Service—a tradition started by the Obamas in 2009.  \n As part of the National Day of Service\, Sixth & I will host a Shabbat service on Saturday morning. Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz\, U.S. Representative for Florida’s 23rd congressional district and chair of the Democratic National Committee\, will deliver an address touching on themes of public service and social action. Rabbi Shira Stutman and Rabbi Scott Perlo will lead a service rooted in the spirit of community and social justice.  \n Please bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the Capital Area Food Bank.  \n Sixth & I’s Presidential Inauguration Shabbat is sponsored by The Emanuel J. Friedman Philanthropies in honor of the Abramson Family\, the Kogod Family\, the Pollin Family\, the Zuckerman Family\, and Esther Foer in appreciation for their tenacity in “wrestling” everyday for the Jewish community. \n In partnership with the National Day of Service
