DESCRIPTION:During our innovative take on the holiday of Shavuot\, experience a night of dairy\, debate\, and personal discovery. \nStart the night with a wine and cheese tasting led by Each Peach Market. The main event features candid\, autobiographical stories from Sixth & I’ers exploring unexpected takes on Shavuot’s themes of anticipation\, revelation\, and conversion. Following\, eat your fill of cheesecake and Jeni’s ice cream and hang out with four DC rabbis who work with Jews in their 20s and 30s. They’ll discuss and debate their most challenging Jewish texts and ideas and take your questions. \nOn Friday morning\, greet the dawn with yoga and meditation led by Rabbi Nora and Gopi Kinnicutt\, a Bhakti-infused yoga teacher who blends movement with spirituality. \nThursday\, May 25\n7:00 pm – Cheese and wine tasting led by Each Peach Market\n8:30 pm – Sinai Slam Storytelling Event\n10:00 pm – Dessert and teaching led by Rabbi Ilana Zietman of GatherDC\, Rabbi Eliana Fischel of Washington Hebrew Congregation\, Rabbi Josh Beraha of Temple Micah\, and Rabbi Aaron Potek \nFriday\, May 26\n7:00 am – Let the Light In: morning yoga and breakfast \nThank you to our promotional partners\, 2239\, Bahkti Yoga DC\, GatherDC\, and the Micah Storefront Project\, and to Pearl’s Bagels for their support of this event. \nSixth & I strives to be an accessible and welcoming resource for the community by offering affordable experiences.
