SUMMARY:Sixth & I Need a Drink
DESCRIPTION:These days\, it feels like we could all use a drink. In this virtual happy hour series\, notable figures from DC’s vibrant culinary scene share how their businesses have been impacted during such a challenging time for the restaurant industry\, creative solutions for staying afloat\, and which spirits have kept them in good spirits—in conversation with Sixth & I staff. They’ll also demo how to make their favorite beverage so you can recreate it at home. \nBill Jensen is the owner and beverage director of the Michelin-starred Tail Up Goat and recently opened Reveler’s Hour in Adams Morgan. Jensen believes that eating and drinking should be an act of replenishment\, renewal\, and discovery\, and that wine functions best when it is not only about what’s in the glass but becomes the sum of the place and the people who produce it. His eclectic wine program has received national recognition from Bon Appetit\, and he has been named one of DC’s game-changing sommeliers by Washington City Paper. \nSixth & I is committed to providing dynamic and entertaining programming while our building is closed\, but we need your help to make this programming possible. If you can\, please consider making a tax-deductible contribution of any amount. Donations will be shared evenly between Sixth & I and Miriam’s Kitchen.
