Lies My Hebrew School Teacher Told Me
Jews don’t believe in Heaven or Hell? You can’t be buried in a Jewish cemetery if you’re tattooed? The challah (bread) on the Shabbat table is embarrassed?
Shining a beacon of truth, Rabbi Scott steps in to uncover the truth behind all of the lies your Hebrew School teacher may have told you.

The Hardest Conversation
Session 2: History of the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
Explore the birth of both Jewish and Palestinian national aspirations and their divergent experiences of Israel’s founding: the War of Independence and the Nakba (“catastrophe” in Arabic) , respectively. Discuss the ways historical narratives live on today, how they shape the negotiating table, and whether mutual recognition of these narratives might help pave a path forward. This class will be taught by Rabbi Shira and Obada Shtaya of OneVoice International.
