For the month of Elul, mindfulness guide and yoga teacher Alison Waldman leads gentle movement and meditation to cultivate greater spiritual focus leading into the New Year. This program incorporates intention-setting and self-reflection through collective breath, stretching, and rhythm.
Start off the work day with some spiritual work as we come together to connect and reflect. Rabbi Nora will lead a few of the traditional morning prayers and share a couple of kavvanot (intentions).
Traditional and contemplative, this virtual Kabbalat Shabbat and Ma’ariv service led by Rabbi Aaron offers a deep sense of focus and intention, aided by soulful and stirring music from Sarah Fredrick, Jeff Geld, and Jordan Rothenberg.
The class is a mix of lectures, group activities, text studies, and holiday celebrations. No Hebrew language knowledge is required for this class. Those wishing to convert will meet with one of the rabbis individually during the year and beyond.
