Moms who impersonate their daughters on JDate. Moms who try to set their daughters up with celebrities. Moms who can’t stop taking selfies with their dogs. The Jewish Daughter Diaries is a heartfelt, hilarious tribute to mom and daughterhood, exploring the often complex, colorful and (at times) claustrophobic relationship.

The collection of essays features stories from some of the most compelling Jewish female voices today: Blossom star Mayim Bialik, The Daily Show producer Jena Friedman, Starstruck author Rachel Shukert, Cosmopolitan editor Anna Breslaw, and many others.

Join author Rachel Ament for a book-club style discussion, while engaging with other young Jewish women experiencing similar mother-daughter woes.

Ament is a writer, editor and complainer living in Washington, DC. She has written for The New York Times, The Jerusalem Post, Oxygen, AOL, Hello Giggles, and other publications. She was also the head writer for the New Orleans-based film Nola.
