For a building intended to be a house of worship, not a house of blues, Sixth & I has transcended its roots to become a sanctuary for spirituality, live entertainment, and insightful dialogues.
Even when filled to a capacity of 800, a show in our historic sanctuary feels intimate and inviting. The 105-year-old sanctuary’s unmatched acoustics and warm vibe create a unique setting for artists, authors, and fans alike. All seating is general admission in historic pews.
With a seated capacity of 180, our Downstairs stage—launched in 2010—is a platform for emerging bands and comedians. Reminiscent of an underground jazz club with a mix of seating and standing room, fans get a rare, up-close view of performers on the rise.
