Open Space is a place for contemplation and reflection throughout the High Holidays. On Yom Kippur, fill the time before neilah with relaxing and reflective programs to define your tomorrow.

2:00 pm – Yoga with Greg Marzullo of Flow Yoga Center (4th Floor)
2:00 pm – Guided neighborhood walking tour with the Jewish Historical Society (Meet outside the sanctuary entrance on I Street)

3:00 pm – Text study with Chazzan Larry Paul (4th Floor)
3:00 pm – “Whom Am I to Judge?,” a discussion with Susan Weidman Schneider, Editor in Chief of Lilith, an independent, Jewish, and frankly feminist magazine (Sanctuary)
Not Your Bubbe’s Sisterhood: For women in their 20s and 30s

4:00 pm – Learn High Holiday niggun (wordless melodies) with Deena Fox (4th Floor)
4:00 pm – Guided tour of the National Portrait Gallery (Meet outside the sanctuary entrance on I Street)

5:00 pm – Running Away: A Discussion on the Book of Jonah with Rabbi Sarah Tasman (Sanctuary)
5:00 pm – Yom Kippur meditation with Jarred Gottleib (4th Floor)
