- This event has passed.
EVENT LOCATION: RFK Stadium – 2400 E Capitol Street, SE
Riding a bike in the city doesn’t have to be stressful. Whether for community, fitness or fun, master the fundamentals of safe riding and learn the skills needed to ride confidently in the city in a three-hour training led by the Washington Area Bicyclist Association. Intended for those who know how to ride a bike without assistance.
Be sure to bring:
- A bike, helmet, water, and a snack.
- Flat pedals. Toe clips, clipless pedals, or other gizmos that attach your feet to your pedals aren’t recommended. If you don’t know what this means, your pedals will work fine.
- Any questions you might have about biking in a city!
Don’t have a bike? Bikes can be rented from several nearby Capital Bikeshare stations. Your rental fee will be reimbursed at the conclusion of the class. Nearby Capital Bikeshare stations are located at:
- 19th Street & East Capitol Street, SE
- 15th Street & Massachusetts Avenue, SE
