CANCELED: DIY: Design it Yourself

Jun 6, 2017 • 7:00 pm ET
  • This event has passed.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, this series has been canceled. Those who registered will be refunded.

This is a five-part series that meets on Tuesdays June 6, 13, 20 and 27, and July 11 at 7:00 pm.

Design your own tzedakah box, deepen your knowledge of Jewish spirituality, and refresh your sense of meaning in Jewish life. Master woodworker Trevor Higgins, who built two of Sixth & I’s arks, will be on hand to guide you through the process of creating a beautiful, meaningful, and unique artifact of enduring worth that connects you to your Jewish identity.

DIY helps participants explore their connections to Jewish spirituality in a collaborative and creative learning environment. Study Jewish texts and teachings with Rabbi Scott and reflect on that learning through creative practice. Previous experience with crafting and/or Torah study is helpful, but you don’t have to be a scholar or Martha Stewart to participate.

Please contact our Community Engagement Associate, Alissa, with any questions.
