- This event has passed.
One weekend a year, Pride takes over DC—and it takes over Shabbat, too. On the night before the Capital Pride Parade, Rabbi Shira, Aaron Shneyer, Rabbi Laurie Green of Bet Mishpachah, and members of GLOE lead an inclusive service celebrating the diversity of DC Jewish life as we stand together, unapologetically proud. Dinner to follow. Service is open to all.
Location: 1500 Harvard Street, NW, Washington, DC 20009
The menu includes:
Roasted cherry tomato and feta pasta salad (vegetarian; vegan and GF options available)
Spanakopita (vegetarian)
Chickpea and quinoa salad (vegan, GF)
Baby kale and arugula salad (vegan, GF; contains walnuts)
Dessert
New York cheesecake (vegetarian; vegan option available)
The dinner provided will be certified kosher.
The following day, march from Dupont Circle to Logan Circle alongside members of GLOE and Bet Mishpachah. Advance registration is required.
