It’s Only Natural
- This event has passed.
Tu B’Shvat, traditionally known as the New Year of the trees, is a time to think about relating to the natural world and connecting with our spiritual selves. This holiday is celebrated by planting trees, eating fruits, and having a Tu B’Shvat seder, a ritual that began with the Kabbalists of the 16th century.
At our seder, we will sample plant-based snacks, learn a little bit of Kabbalah, study nature-inspired texts, and explore connections between environmentalism and Judaism over four cups of wine. Light dinner fare included. BYOW (bring your own wine).
No one will be turned away due to lack of funds. If you require financial assistance for this program, please contact Kira.
Food provided will be vegan using kosher ingredients (not kosher certified). With any dietary needs, please contact Kira at least 5 days in advance.
