Each year at the Passover seder, we read aloud, Kol dichfin yay-tay v’yay-chol (Let all who are hungry come and eat). As we prepare for eight days of forgoing chametz (foods with leaven) to symbolically represent our past oppression, we’re also reminded that there are those in our city who still struggle with food insecurity.
Volunteer for a food prep shift with DC Central Kitchen and support its mission to combat hunger in our city by bringing nutritious meals where they’re needed most. Advance registration is required and spots are limited, so please only sign up if you are able to attend for the duration of the volunteer shift.
