Sixth & I holds a special place in my heart and in my family’s story. My husband and I were married here in 2010, drawn not only to the beauty of the sanctuary, but also because it was the site of my grandfather’s bar mitzvah in the early 1940s.

While my family’s roots are deep in Washington, I grew up in Knoxville, TN. I returned to DC after graduating from Wash U in St. Louis and began my career in fundraising. For more than a decade, I worked in independent schools where I’ve been able to meld my fundraising work with a passion for building community. I’m so lucky that working at Sixth & I is allowing me to bring together my fundraising expertise with my passion for community, social justice, and belonging. It never ceases to amaze me how many people have connections to Sixth & I, and I’d love to hear your Sixth & I story!

I live in Bethesda with my husband and our twins. When I’m not working or schlepping kids to and fro, I love spending time outdoors, going to concerts, practicing yoga, needlepointing, and reading in my favorite chair.
