Chanu-Comedy: A Festival of Laughs

Rachel Bloom is a comedian, actress, writer and singer based in Los Angeles. Her comedic music videos have been featured in the LA Times, Onion AV Club, Jezebel, The Huffington Post, and Buzzfeed, among others. She was recently named a comic to watch by both Time Out LA and Backstage Magazine, and in 2012 she performed at the Just for Laughs comedy festival in Montreal as part of the “New Faces: Characters” showcase. She is currently developing “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” a musical show for Showtime with screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna. In 2013 she released a full-length album, Please Love Me, and just released a holiday album of Chanukah comedy songs co-written with comedians Dan Gregor and Jack Dolgen called Suck It, Christmas!!! (A Chanukah Album). Her television writing credits include Robot Chicken, Allen Gregory, and The People’s Choice Awards. Her acting work includes roles on How I Met Your Mother and Robot Chicken. She has written and starred in two live musical sketch comedy shows at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in LA and New York: “Rachel Bloom is a Triple Threat!!!” and “Sing Out, Louise!”
Danny Jolles is a comedian and actor based out of LA. His sketch group Chess Club Comedy has been featured on the front page of Collegehumor, Dailymotion and Funny or Die. As a stand up, Danny has appeared in the LA Comedy Festival, The Laughing Skull Festival and is currently a finalist in the Uncle Clyde’s Comedy Contest. Danny also appeared on the TV Show Into The Night With…, hosting for Reggie Watts.
