Dancin’ in the Streets: A Simchat Torah Celebration
- This event has passed.
Simchat Torah, which means “Rejoicing in Torah,” is the day when communities gather together to come into direct contact with the Torah and renew ourselves as we begin the cycle of reading the Torah from Genesis once again.
Enjoy Simchat Torah festivities as Rabbi David Shneyer, Chazzan Larry Paul, and Klezmer musicians lead us from the sanctuary to I Street to dance and sing with the Torah.
Rabbi Shneyer is the founder and director of Am Kolel and spiritual leader of Kehila Chadasha. Chazzan Paul also leads our monthly Downtown Shabbat.
