Deep Dive: Preparing for the High Holidays
- This event has passed.
This is a two-part series that meets on Wednesdays, September 7 and 21 at 6:00 pm.
When it comes to studying Jewish texts, you can dip a toe into the water, or you can dive into the deep end of the rich Jewish spiritual and ethical tradition.
In preparation for the High Holidays, we’ll study the brilliant Rav Kook’s teaching on T’shuvah (Repentance). Students wishing to try out the longer Deep Dive Talmud study should participate in these two sessions.
Study will be primarily in English, but a ready knowledge of Hebrew letters and how to sound them out is helpful. Students should be prepared to learn to comprehend and translate basic Biblical verses. Prior experience with Talmud study is encouraged but not necessary.
