A musical service led by Chazzan Larry Paul and musician Robyn Helzner, followed by dinner and Shabbat singing. Enjoy appetizers and drinks before the 6:45 pm service. Open to all.
On the one-year anniversary of the attack at Tree of Life in Pittsburgh, Sixth & I is proud to be a #showupforshabbat participating synagogue.
The menu includes:
To start
Hummus served with veggies and chips (vegan)
Dinner
Roasted chicken or tofu in olive oil, lemon, and za’atar (GF)
Green beans in mustard seeds (vegan, GF)
Arugula and chickpea salad with harissa dressing and pickled red onion (vegan, GF)
Israeli couscous with crispy onion (vegan; GF option – rice)
Dessert
Cinnamon and chocolate rugelach
The dinner provided will be kosher. With any dietary needs, please email Kira at least 5 days in advance.
Sixth & I strives to be an accessible and welcoming resource for the community by offering affordable experiences, including Shabbat dinners. The subsidized price of $18 does not reflect the true cost of the meal provided ($36). If you are able, please consider covering the full cost of your Shabbat meal.
