National Pride Shabbat
- This event has passed.
As we continue to operate virtually, we will begin to pilot hosting limited capacity in-person attendance for Shabbat services. Your health and safety, and that of our staff, are our highest priorities. Advance registration and masks are required and walk-ups are not permitted. A health attestation form will be sent to all registrants the morning of services.
In solidarity with #StillWe Celebrate Pride 2021, Rabbi Aaron and the Sixth & I LGBTQIA Collective lead an inclusive service celebrating the diversity of DC Jewish life.
Hear from Dr. Harriette E. Wimms (she/her/hers), a Maryland licensed clinical psychologist, clinical assistant professor of psychology at Loyola University Maryland, and the founder of The Village Family Support Center of Baltimore. Dr. Wimms is the creator of the Baltimore Jews of Color Community Havurah and the driving force behind the JOC Mishpacha Project and its first National (Virtual) Jews of Color Shabbaton. She is also active within the Kohenet Hebrew Priestess Institute.
This event has been generously underwritten by The Revada Foundation of the Logan Family.
