National Refugee Shabbat
with Rabbi Nora
- This event has passed.
Happy Hour – 6:00 pm
Service – 7:00 pm
Celebrate National Refugee Shabbat at this inclusive service led by Rabbi Nora. With music from Sixth & I musicians, the service blends contemporary and traditional elements for an experience that feels both familiar and fresh. Hear from Mohammed Al Samawi, a peace activist, Yemeni refugee, author, and founder of Abrahamic House, a multifaith co-living space. Stick around for dessert from Lapis, an immigrant-owned Afghan restaurant.
To help support local refugees and resettlement efforts, learn about upcoming volunteer opportunities, including apartment set-ups, by visiting the Edlavitch DCJCC’s Welcoming New Neighbors program page.
This event has been generously underwritten by The Revada Foundation of the Logan Family. Thanks to the Edlavitch DCJCC for being our promotional partner.
