This series meets in-person on Tuesdays, February 8, 15, 22 and March 1 at 7:00 pm. Masks and proof of vaccination are required including a photo ID that matches the name on the vaccination card. Please review our health and safety protocols here.

What can Judaism teach us about how we should think about interpersonal relationships or our responsibility for tending to the planet? What does Judaism say about abortion?

In this four-week course on Jewish ethics, learn with Rabbi Nora about Judaism’s approaches to different moral dilemmas, applying Jewish text to contemporary challenges in our personal lives and in our society. This series will include small group discussions, personal reflection, and opportunities to get to know other Sixth & I’ers as we tackle age-old quandaries and contemporary hot-button issues like environmentalism, reproductive justice, philanthropy, and more.

About this series
If our standalone classes have left you wanting more, you might be ready to take your Jewish learning to the next level. This new series offers an opportunity to dive deeper into specific Jewish topics over the course of four weeks while building community with your peers who share a sense of curiosity for the world around them. We’ll explore questions about life and death, discuss how Judaism approaches morality, and contemplate what it means to live ethically. No previous knowledge of the topic is required.

No one will be turned away from any of our classes due to lack of funds. For more information, please contact our Jewish Life Senior Programming Associate, Leila.
