Resilience Unmasked: Purim, Protest, and Power
- This event has passed.
Thousands of women in recent months have come forward to share their #MeToo stories, drawing on deep reserves of strength and resilience. In time for Purim, explore with Rabbi Avi Strausberg the many faces of resilience from Jewish tradition—from Esther and Queen Vashti to Dina and a bride on her wedding night—and discover how they can offer insight into the contemporary struggle for justice.
Rabbi Avi Strausberg is the Director of National Learning Initiatives at Hadar, and based in Washington, DC. Previously, she served as the Director of Congregational Learning of Temple of Aaron in St. Paul, Minnesota. She received her rabbinic ordination from Hebrew College in Boston and is a Wexner Graduate Fellow and she also holds a Masters in Jewish Education.
No one will be turned away from any of our classes due to lack of funds. For more information, please contact our Religious Programming Associate, Annie.
