Shabbat: Day Off
Refugee Shabbat Edition
- This event has passed.
This come one, come all Shabbat offering has something for everyone, whether you’re looking to dive deep into the week’s teachings, get more acquainted with Saturday morning services, or introduce kids to Shabbat rituals in a way that feels accessible and relevant. This month, in honor of HIAS Refugee Shabbat, explore texts that lift up the Jewish value of welcoming the stranger and learn more about how to support refugees and asylum seekers.
Act now by signing a letter to welcome the new Congress and impress upon them the urgency and importance of ensuring the rights, safety, and dignity of refugees and asylum seekers.
This event has been generously underwritten by The Revada Foundation. Thanks to the Edlavitch DCJCC for being our promotional partner. Sixth & I is proud to partner with The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington to present Sixth & Wee.
Sixth & I is committed to creating community while our building is closed, but we need your help to make our programming possible. If you can, please consider making a tax-deductible contribution of any amount to help support our organization during this difficult time.
