Sixth & I Salons

This salon meets Wednesdays, November 2, 9, 16, 30, and December 7 at an offsite location in Mount Pleasant, DC.

As we come out of the more isolating period of this pandemic, you might have found yourself looking for new ways to connect with others more deeply than your weekly happy hour or kickball game allows.

Over five weeks, engage with a small group of your peers in meaningful, salon-style conversations grounded in Jewish texts that help us explore our relationship to ourselves, each other, and the moment we’re living in, asking big questions like: What makes a fulfilling friendship? Can I get better at making big decisions? How do I productively disagree with others?

This experience might be right for you if you’re newer to Sixth & I or are looking for sustained and thoughtful conversation among good company. The discussions will be facilitated by Nick Anderson, a Sixth & I’er interested in exploring identity, community, and spirituality through a Jewish perspective. Nick’s Jewish journey began after becoming a baker at a Jewish deli and reconnecting with his late Jewish grandfather’s past.
