Tu B’Shvat: Rooted in Text & Reflection
- This event has passed.
Tu B’Shvat, traditionally known as the Jewish New Year for trees, is a time to think about our relationship with the natural world and connect with our spiritual selves.
Spend the evening exploring your spirituality through text and meditation. Enjoy fruits, nuts, and wine in celebration of the holiday — a ritual that began with the Kabbalists of the 16th century. This program will be led by Rachel Farbiarz and Jared Gottlieb.
Rachel Farbiarz is a local artist and writer. She is a former D’var Tzedek Writing Fellow for American Jewish World Service.
Jared Gottlieb has been practicing meditation for many years and has led Sixth & I’s Yom Kippur meditation sessions for the past three years.
