Immerse yourself in Shabbat like you’ve never experienced it before. Chaverim L’Shalom, our multi-cultural family havurah, presents Shabbat Around the World: Sabor Latino.

Bring your family to an interactive Shabbat service with Cantor Ramón Tasat, featuring music from Mexico, Argentina, and Spain. Stay for a Shabbat dinner that will be muy delicioso!

Families with children of all ages are encouraged to attend.

Happy Challah-Day

Join us for our second annual Challah-Day celebration! This indoor family carnival will feature games, crafts, yoga, science experiments, and a special concert by Jewish rocker, Sheldon Low.

Rocknoceros

What better way to spend a Sunday morning than jiggling and giggling with your kids! Sixth & I families will rock out with local kids’ fave Rocknoceros (your tots are sure to know all the lyrics to their hit song “Pink!”) This is an all ages concert with opening act, The Great Zucchini!

The Great Zucchini, Washington’s funniest and most magical preschool and kindergarten entertainer, performs a colorful magic show where every child is a star and guaranteed to laugh! Experience the excitement of the children when they get to learn a magic trick at the end of show.

Chaverim L

This Friday, immerse yourself in Shabbat like you’ve never experienced it before. Chaverim L’Shalom, our multi-cultural family havurah, brings the first Shabbat Around the World dinner to Sixth & I.

Imagine walking into a room filled with the sounds of African drums and the smells of grilled tilapia with jollof rice and fufu with peanut butter soup. Experience moving in rhythm with African dancers. This is Shabbat Around the World – Africa!

Families with children of all ages are encouraged to attend. Our guest speaker will be Dr. Carolivia Herron, author of Always an Olivia.

Pizza in the Hut

Families with young children will dine al fresco in our sukkah. After pizza and cookies, we’ll help decorate the sukkah and will prepare for Simchat Torah by creating adorable stuffed Torahs. Be sure to bring your torah toy with you to Dancin’ in the Streets! A Unique Simchat Torah Celebration on Saturday, October 10 when we close down I street and dance in our Simchat Torah parade.
