“Call Your Girlfriend” is a podcast for long-distance besties everywhere, hosted by Ann Friedman and Aminatou Sow and produced by Gina Delvac. Every other week, listeners eavesdrop as the two best friends call each other to discuss the intricacies of pop culture, politics, feminism, work, undying love for Ruth Bader Ginsburg, caftans, and more. They are highbrow and lowbrow, unapologetically feminist, and not afraid to realtalk each other about everything from menstrual cycles to workplace dramas.

Sow is a digital strategist and one of Forbes‘ 30 Under 30 in tech. Friedman is a freelance journalist, New York magazine columnist, and email newsletter mogul. They are impressive individually, but together they are unstoppable.

In honor of the CYG monthly newsletter, The Bleed, local volunteers will be on hand to collect menstruation supplies (pads, panty liners, tampons) for our community’s homeless and transient women. Please bring supplies to donate.
