Bagels and Grits: A Jew on the Bayou recalls Moses’ move from the liberal, affluent neighborhoods of Washington D.C. to that brutally hot world of full-gospel Christianity in Baton Rouge, LA, where most of her acquaintances were on first-name speaking terms with Jesus, and tells the story of her own deep desire to commune with the divine. Moses shares her journey of self-discovery, and in the process, helps to illuminate the cultural divide in this country.
