Reading and Translating the Prayers

Due to unforeseen circumstances, this course has been canceled.

This course is the next step for those with basic Hebrew reading ability. Learn common vocabulary words, roots, and key grammatical structures to help you translate the Hebrew frequently found in prayer books and other Jewish contexts. The first few sessions of this course include review of the letters and vowels and present some strategies to improve Hebrew reading skills.

Due to the cumulative nature of language learning, students should plan to attend class regularly and spend 15 to 20 minutes daily on home practice.
