Brooklyn Rider & Anne Sofie von Otter
- This event has passed.
According to the Washington Post, perennial favorites Brooklyn Rider are known for their unique voice, which they skillfully deploy across a dazzling array of styles. The groundbreaking string quartet—comprised of four virtuoso chamber music entrepreneurs—returns with their no-holds-barred programming that opens our ears to new musical styles and creative pursuits with each performance.
The quartet have brought friends from across the musical spectrum for performances on our stage and return this fall with mezzo-soprano Anne Sofie von Otter with a program ranging from the Beatles to Björk. Von Otter brings a clear, unaffected tone and a range of styles.
Washington Performing Arts performances at Sixth & I are made possible by the Abramson Family Foundation.
His Excellency Björn Lyrvall, Ambassador of Sweden, is the honorary patron of this performance.
