Colin Currie
- This event has passed.
A performance by the Scotland-based artist is a pulse-quickening journey through both artistic styles and physical space. The renowned percussionist has commissioned and premiered works from a wealth of composers of wide-ranging cultures and traditions, earning 2015’s Instrumentalist of the Year honors from Britain’s Royal Philharmonic Society for his achievements.
Beyond this artistic expansiveness, Currie makes a literal excursion over the course of a concert, navigating his way around a stage brimming with instruments: vibraphone and marimba, drums from around the world, gongs, rare inventions, and even his own body.
