- This event has passed.
A former chef to the Obamas and senior nutrition policy advisor in the Obama administration, Sam Kass outlines his plan to improve your diet and support the environment in Eat a Little Better: Great Flavor, Good Health, Better World.
Knowing that small, better-for-you choices add up to big change, Kass shares methods that make it easy to choose, cook, and eat delicious foods without depriving yourself of agency or pleasure. Including 90 simple recipes, Eat a Little Better offers smart ways to think about shopping and setting up your kitchen so healthy ingredients are always on hand.
Kass is the senior food analyst for NBC News and an advisor to several food technology start-ups. One of the former First Lady’s longest-serving advisors, Kass was the executive director of her Let’s Move initiative and helped her create the first major vegetable garden at the White House since Eleanor Roosevelt’s Victory Garden. In conversation with Joe Yonan, food and dining editor at The Washington Post and the author of Eat Your Vegetables. Book signing to follow.
