“I’ve reached a point in my life where I’m not afraid to try anything,” states Jerry Douglas. “That’s what this record’s about.” That fearlessness is manifested in Traveler, the artist’s 14th solo release and his first in three years. The 13-time GRAMMY Award winner and 3-time Country Music Association’s “Musician of the Year” has played on more than 1,600 albums and has collaborated with artists as diverse as Ray Charles, Eric Clapton, Phish and Mumford and Sons.
Since 1998, Douglas has been a key member of Alison Krauss and Union Station. Called “Dobro’s matchless contemporary master,” by The New York Times, and lauded as “my favorite musician” by John Fogerty, Douglas is one of the world’s most renowned musicians.
