Annie Stokes is a dark Americana songstress from Virginia. Raised on bluegrass and musical theater, her lyrics recall moments you thought you forgot. She and her band have released an EP and two albums and are currently working on their fourth project. She’s had the pleasure of playing Merriweather Post Pavilion, The Sylvan Theater, Jammin Java, Gypsy Sally’s, Moon Valley Music Festival, DOAH Fest, Untitled Music Festival, Richmond Music Hall, The 9:30 Club, Songbyrd Music House and Record Cafe, and every little dive bar in between. In spring of 2018, she had the privilege of performing for amazing young activists at a youth summit at George Mason University, and is proud to be an example of the intersection between art and activism.
Sixth & I is committed to providing dynamic and entertaining programming while our building is closed, but we need your help to sustain those who make this programming possible. If you can, please consider making a tax-deductible contribution of any amount. Donations will be shared evenly between Sixth & I and the artists featured in our Living Room Sessions series.
