The Intimacy Experiment
Book Club with Rosie Danan
- This event has passed.
Named one of seven romance novels to read this summer by the New York Times and “a blessing of a book” by Entertainment Weekly, Rosie Danan’s The Intimacy Experiment is a steamy, big-hearted story of opposites attract with Reform Judaism in the mix.
Ethan Cohen, nominated as one of LA’s hottest bachelors, has just been promoted to rabbi of his synagogue. Low on funds and congregants, the synagogue tasks him with attracting more millennials—or else their doors will close for good. He joins forces with Naomi Grant, founder of a renowned sex-positive start-up to host a series on modern intimacy. It seems like the perfect solution—until they discover their growing attraction to each other and must put their syllabus to the test. The Intimacy Experiment connects faith, trust, strength, and desire for a provocative story that may just rekindle your interest in Friday night services.
At this 1-hour book club, you’ll hear from author Rosie Danan and have the chance to ask her questions and spend time in breakout groups to reflect on the book’s themes with guiding discussion questions. We encourage you to order the book from Politics and Prose Bookstore.
Danan, based in London, is also the author of The Roommate and has more romance novels coming in 2022 and beyond.
