Inside the Mind of Malcolm Gladwell
In Conversation with David Epstein
- This event has passed.
Twenty-five years after the publication of his groundbreaking first book, The Tipping Point, Malcolm Gladwell returned to the subject of social epidemics in Revenge of the Tipping Point. In it, he examines the ways in which we have learned to tinker with and shape the spread of ideas, viruses, and trends—sometimes with great success, sometimes with disastrous consequences.
Across eight bestselling books with surprising insights, Gladwell has sparked the curiosity of millions of readers and in so doing, helped them see the world in a different way. To mark the paperback release of Revenge of the Tipping Point, this wide-ranging conversation will dig into how Gladwell has reframed the lessons of his original work and what he’s learned about a slew of topics in the past quarter century—from what it’s like to become a parent in your sixties to advice for aspiring journalists and podcasters.
Gladwell, the co-founder of Pushkin Industries and staff writer at The New Yorker, will be in conversation with David Epstein, the author of the New York Times bestsellers Range and The Sports Gene. Epstein has been an investigative reporter at ProPublica and senior writer at Sports Illustrated. His next book, Inside the Box: How Constraints Make Us Better, is coming in May of 2026.
