As a new lover of Washington, DC, I have been captivated by the intersectionality of art, culture, and history that reside here, all of which can be found at the heart of the prestigious Sixth & I. A Florida native, I have found a home away from home in DC. My background includes law and education, and I’ve spent more than 7 years managing a Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality studies program at a Florida university. While there, I had the pleasure of hosting events such as feminist art exhibits, academic conferences, drag shows, and DEI workshops. As someone who has a passion for service to others, I’ve been awarded various accolades over the years such as awards for Leadership in Diversity. It is my extreme pleasure to be a part of the team at Sixth & I, where entertainment, education, and service to the community intersect beautifully.
When not in the office, you can find me exploring new bookstores, coffeeshops, and eateries; embracing my inner tourist with history tours; or curled up at home with a good book or movie. I’m a Disney and Harry Potter fanatic, and my niece and dog are my world. I’m grateful to be a part of a cultural keystone in the heart of DC, and I look forward to finding new ways to serve the Sixth & I community.
