Ever feel like you need eight days a week to accomplish your to-do list? Does the idea of unplugging every seventh day seem impossible? Sixth & I is teaming up with Reboot to empower you to take the Sabbath back. Sabbath Manifesto, a national project designed to slow down lives, is based on 10 core principles:
1. Avoid Technology 6. Light Candles
2. Connect With Loved Ones 7. Drink Wine
3. Nurture Your Health 8. Eat Bread
4. Get Outside 9. Find Silence
5. Avoid Commerce 10. Give Back
For principle #10, please support Street Sense by bringing reporter notepads, disposable cameras, printer paper, stamps, file folders, $5 Metro fare cards, pocket dictionaries, and/or flash drives.
This shabbat is supported in part by the family of Israel Ellenberg on the occasion of his yahrzeit.
