When thinking back on some of his favorite concerts over the years, Josh Ritter realized many of them took place in spaces that were special in their own right. On this intimate solo tour, Ritter visits synagogues, cathedrals, and storied theaters to play some of the quieter, more narrative songs that often don’t make the set list during larger rock concerts, in addition to new music.
Over his 20-year recording career, Josh Ritter has established himself as one of America’s greatest living songwriters. Of his 2015 album, Sermon on the Rocks, The New York Times wrote, “Harking back to Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen and maybe a little Mark Knopfler, Mr. Ritter has always been a slinger of serious ideas and high-flown imagery.”
